Our all-women team built our Livestream services during the pandemic and thrive

“Wow, the team are all girls!”

It was around the 5th time we were asked “your team are all girls?" that it dawned on us that we must have been a rare sight. For the past year, we have produced more than 50 live streams, virtual events, private virtual workshops and virtual shoots that it never occurred to us that our team would be a rare sight.

Like any other company, we had to react and pivot as soon as the pandemic hit and agility and decisive actions were what we needed to get done. Moving things virtual was a no brainer. We were already producing some shoots that way and had some experience in doing live streams when LazLive first launched a few years ago, as well as for Facebook Live and Instagram Live.

But the speed at which we had to scale was enormous and the team simply researched, acquired the necessary additional equipment to allow us to stream at a more advanced level and just simply, did it.

Beyond International Women's Day, we hope that this can be an everyday occurrence. That it would not be so rare. That it can become normal, uneventful and a typical sight to see an all-women live stream or shoot team.

Help us make that happen.
